St. Louis – Law enforcement officers from across the St. Louis area joined forces with Dunkin’ on Friday, August 16, 2024, for the annual “Cops on a Rooftop” event, raising an impressive $9,785 for Special Olympics Missouri.
Officers stationed themselves at eight Dunkin’ locations throughout the St. Louis area, engaging with the community to raise awareness and funds for Special Olympics Missouri. The event drew significant attention from local media outlets, who highlighted the officers’ commitment to supporting athletes with intellectual disabilities.
“We are incredibly grateful to our community, our local law enforcement, and our partners at Dunkin’ for their unwavering support,” said Crystal Schuster, Senior Director of Development at Special Olympics Missouri. “The success of this event not only demonstrates the generosity of the St. Louis area but also the dedication of our officers to making a difference in the lives of our athletes.”
The funds raised will directly support Special Olympics Missouri, helping to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. The event is part of the larger Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) for Special Olympics, the organization’s largest public awareness and fundraising group.
