Jimmie's Miles for Medals Dice Run is a motorcycle ride benefiting Special Olympics KC Metro and its 1,845 athletes. This is a fundraiser ran by the Special Olympics Missouri Fan Clubs of Kansas City.  These Fan Clubs go above and beyond to help support the team by raising funds for new uniforms, new equipment, rental of practice space, transportation to and from competition and of course providing fans in the stands to cheer the athletes on!

Come out and participate in the fun and help celebrate the 12th Annual Ride!

Jimmie’s Miles for Medals Dice Run will tour Kansas City on Saturday, August 19!  The run will begin at Gail’s Harley-Davidson in Grandview, with stops throughout the Kansas City Metro area such as Wabash BBQ in Excelsior Springs, Big Lots, La Benite Park and BikeWorks Unlimited.  The ride will end with an after party at the Hilton Garden Inn in Independence including a silent auction, raffle and giveaways.  The ride will be escorted by local law enforcement. At each stop, riders will roll dice and record the number they roll. Lunch and other food/drinks will be provided.  Registration fee of $35 per bike and $10 for an additional rider.

Prizes will be given for:

  • Highest total from rolls throughout the day
  • Lowest total from rolls throughout the day
  • Highest Fundraiser
  • Other door prizes will be given

Special Olympics KC Metro serves 1,845 people with intellectual disabilities in the five counties in the metro area. Improvements in physical fitness and motor skills, greater self confidence and self-image are just a few skills Special Olympics athletes develop through participation in the program. Your participation in Jimmie's Miles for Medals Dice Run helps continue to provide year-round sports training and athletic competitions for our athletes.
