Linda was surprised with the honor during the Opening Ceremony at the 2025 State Outdoor Games on October 17 in Springfield, Missouri.

Linda’s dedication to SOMO is nothing short of extraordinary. From her early days as a coach to her current roles as an Event Manager, Volunteer, and Unified Partner, she has poured her heart and time into advancing SOMO’s mission. Her leadership, reliability, and energy have made her an indispensable part of the organization.

Known as someone everyone can count on, Linda goes above and beyond to ensure every event, fundraiser, and program runs smoothly. Her deep understanding of SOMO sports and her ability to engage athletes and volunteers make every event more meaningful.

Beyond event management, Linda has been a leader in the Athlete Leadership Program (ALPs) and a strong advocate for inclusion. She’s served on planning and fundraising committees and uses her personal and professional networks to promote SOMO and inspire others to get involved.

Outside of SOMO, Linda works as an Occupational Therapist at a local school for children with special needs. Her compassion, expertise, and commitment to inclusion shine through in everything she does — making her a true role model for athletes, volunteers, and staff.

Congratulations, Linda, on this well-deserved honor and your induction into the SOMO Hall of Fame!
