Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) is excited to announce the induction of Dianna Neihouse into the SOMO Hall of Fame.
Dianna was surprised with the honor during the Opening Ceremony at the 2025 State Outdoor Games.

For years, Dianna has been a driving force for inclusion, opportunity, and excellence within SOMO. Her passion and leadership have impacted athletes, coaches, and communities across Missouri and beyond.

In 2022, she proudly served as a coach and Unified Partner at the USA Games, exemplifying her dedication on a national stage. She has led athlete teams at the KC Sports Experience, served as a group leader at the Gary Brimer Sports Camp, and helped develop new programs like the Unified Bocce Intramural League at UMKC. In 2024, Dianna joined SOMO’s Sports Management Advisory Council (SMAC), helping guide state-level sports programming.

Alongside her daughter Jennifer, Dianna has represented SOMO at Capitol Hill Day in Washington, D.C., meeting with legislators to advocate for critical funding and support of SOMO programs. She’s also a tireless volunteer, helping organize and support events like Mantels & Martinis, Miles for Medals, Kyle’s Gift, and the Arrowhead Stadium Recycling Program.

Dianna’s impact goes far beyond the playing field. From teaching athletes new skills to mentoring coaches and building lifelong friendships, she has created a true SOMO family. Her compassion, creativity, and advocacy embody the spirit of Eunice Kennedy Shriver’s mission of inclusion and dignity for all.

Congratulations, Dianna, on this well-deserved honor and your induction into the SOMO Hall of Fame!
