Our fifth annual Evening with Andy Reid was a tremendous success! More than 300 Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) supporters gathered at Arrowhead Stadium on June 4 to celebrate our mission and raise funds to support our athletes.

While final numbers are still being tallied, we’re thrilled to announce that the event raised over $350,000— $68,000 of which will help Team Missouri on their journey to the 2026 USA Games.

The Voice of the Chiefs, Mitch Holthus, returned as emcee and did a phenomenal job once again. We were also honored to welcome former Chiefs legends Neil Smith and Deron Cherry to the event.

Chiefs Defensive End George Karlaftis shared why he supports SOMO and generously donated his My Cause My Cleats custom cleats, designed by SOMO athletes, as well as his game-worn jersey from the Raiders matchup for our auction. Chiefs stars Trent McDuffie and Mitch Morse were also in attendance. Morse, a former Mizzou standout, spoke about his deep passion for Special Olympics.

“I was truly inspired by these athletes and their stories and just seeing the joy they have with sports or anything they do,” said Karlaftis.

Of course, the evening wouldn’t have been possible without Coach Andy Reid himself. In a heartwarming moment, Coach Reid announced a new business partnership with SOMO athlete Jared Neimeyer of Jared’s Jams. Together, they launched “Jared’s Jams Presents: Andy Reid’s Boysenberry Jam.”

“It’s an unbelievable jam,” Coach Reid said. “You slather it on some bread with a little bit of peanut butter and you’d think you’re in heaven.”

A portion of the proceeds from each jar will benefit Special Olympics Missouri.

It was an unforgettable evening!
