Training for Life Campus Weekly Events and Classes: October 31- November 6

This week began our new schedule at the Training for Life Campus with lots of new fun events for November!

KC Metro Unified Volleyball Intramural League: Tuesday, October 31

It was another fun week at UMKC for the KC Metro Unified Volleyball Intramural League. Thank you to UMKC for hosting this great program!

Applebee’s Tip-A-Cop: Thursday, November 2

We hosted a Tip-A-Cops at Applebee’s across the state on Thursday, Nov. 2 from 4-9 p.m. Thank you to everyone who came out to Rolla, Sullivan, Wentzville, St. Charles, St. John, Creve Coeur and Crestwood locations to support our athletes!

KC Metro Young Athletes Program (YAP): Friday, November 3

We had our final YAP session in KC on Friday, Nov. 3! Thank you to all the volunteers who helped with this event. We had so much fun with this program!

North Area Bowling St. Joseph: Saturday, November 4

Great job to all the athletes who participated in the North Area bowling tournament this past weekend!

KC Metro Area Bowling: Saturday, November 4

The 2023 KC Metro Area Bowling at Lunar Bowl was a huge success! Amazing job to all the athletes who participated.

A special shoutout to Josie Mann from LS Adults who received the Abbey Kornis Perseverance Award! Congratulations!

St. Louis Metro Area Bowling Tournament: Saturday, November 4

Fantastic job to all the athletes who participated in the St. Louis Metro Area Bowling Tournament on Saturday!

Southwest Area Healthy Athletes Event: Saturday, November 4

Our Southwest Area Healthy Athletes event was a huge success with 55 health screenings conducted! Athletes could receive free health screenings during this event which could lead to free glasses, t-shirts, toothpaste and much more! Thank you to everyone who helped make this event possible. Congratulations to Janel Ronneburg who won the free XBOX!

Joplin Polar Plunge: Saturday, November 4

This past Saturday was the final polar plunge of 2023! Plungers in Joplin braved the cold, raising $10,640.50 to date. A total of 48 brave men and women from around the area donned disco-themed costumes and swimwear to take a chilly dip into Shoal Creek.

Southwest Area Bowling: Sunday, November 5

Great job to everyone who came out to Fun City in Mountain Grove this weekend for the Southwest Area Bowling tournament!

Play Unified Day with Missouri Western Basketball Teams: Sunday, November 5

We shot some hoops with the Missouri Western State University Basketball Programs this past Sunday. Athletes enjoyed the clinic and a day of fun. This event was held at the MWSU Fieldhouse at Looney Complex on the Campus of Missouri Western.
