Here’s a look back at all of the amazing Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) events from October 10-16, 2023!

St. Louis Public Schools Bowling Tournament: Tuesday, October 10

The St. Louis Public Schools hosted a Bowling tournament at Bowlero Lakeside Lanes last week! Tuesday’s competition was for elementary and middle school bowlers. Nice job to everyone who participated!

Training for Life Campus Weekly Events and Classes: October 10-14

Last week was another great week of Training for Life Campus events! We have several reoccurring events to look out for. Check out our music classes, open gym and workout classes!

The following events are happening in October:

Carrollton High School Unified Track Meet: Wednesday, October 11

Carrollton High School hosted this North Area track meet! Great job to everyone who competed!

St. Louis Public Schools Bowling Tournament: Thursday, October 12

High school bowlers took on Bowlero Lakeside Lanes on Thursday last week in the St. Louis area. Great job to everyone who came out and participated!

Chiefs Recycle Team: Thursday, October 12

Let’s go Chiefs! For every Chiefs home game, we have 8-12 volunteers driving through the parking lots during tailgating to hand out recycling bags. This helps support our SOMO Athletes! Thank you to everyone who helped out with this for the last few home games.

2023 State Outdoor Games: Friday, October 13- Sunday, October 15

Our 2023 State Outdoor Games this weekend were a huge success! Tennis, Golf and Bocce took place on Friday with only slight rain delays. The opening ceremonies Friday night were a BLAST! Healthy Athletes and Softball on Saturday was a big success and we ended the night with the dance and bingo. We finished up the Games with Flag Football on Sunday!

Amazing job to all the athletes who competed and thank you to all the volunteers who helped make this year’s Games so memorable!
