KC Unified Pickleball Intramural with UMKC: Tuesday, November 5
The final night of our 4-week Unified Pickleball Intramural League took place on Tuesday, November 5, at UMKC’s Swinney Recreation Center. This event brought together 15 athletes from across the area for an exciting conclusion to this unified sports experience. Special thanks to our partners at UMKC for hosting!
KC Metro Lunch & Learn: Wednesday, November 6
We connected with the KC Metro community on Wednesday, November 6, for our virtual Lunch & Learn session. Attendees met local SOMO athletes and staff, heard inspiring stories, and had an opportunity to ask questions—all in 30 minutes over lunch!
KCPD Tip A Cop – Corner Cafe Liberty: Saturday, November 9
On Saturday, November 9, Kansas City Police Department officers and other LETR agencies hosted a “Tip A Cop” event at Corner Cafe in Liberty. Officers served breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon, raising funds for KC Metro athletes. We’re grateful to everyone who supported this cause with a meal!
North Area Bowling (St. Joseph): Saturday, November 9
Athletes competed in the North Area Bowling Tournament on Saturday, November 9, at Revolutions Lanes in St. Joseph. A huge shout-out to all teams, volunteers, and organizers for making this event a success!
St. Louis Metro Area Bowling Tournament: Saturday, November 9
Our St. Louis athletes hit the lanes for the St. Louis Metro Area Bowling Tournament on November 9-10 at Bowlero Lakeside Lanes. Teams showed their skills and sportsmanship, with volunteers lending hands to keep the competition running smoothly.
2024 Central Area Tailgate and Touchdowns: Saturday, November 9
On November 9, we hosted the 1st Annual Central Area Tailgate and Touchdowns event at the SOMO Training for Life Campus. Fans enjoyed food trucks, college football on the big screen, and a Unified Flag Football Tournament, where four teams faced off in an exciting showcase of flag football action. Thank you to everyone who joined us for an unforgettable day!
