Here’s a look back at all of the amazing Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) events from July 16-22, 2024!

Southwest Area Soccer Clinic: Tuesday, July 16

The Southwest Area Soccer Clinic, held on July 16th, was a resounding success! From 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM, athletes and coaches gathered at the Lake Country Soccer Indoor Soccer Facility in Springfield, MO, to learn SOMO soccer rules, drills, and enjoy some friendly scrimmages. The event welcomed participants of all ages, from 8 and up, creating a great environment of learning.

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the day so memorable. Your enthusiasm and dedication are what made this clinic truly special. We look forward to seeing you at future events!

Tip-a-Cops: July 16-18

• Eureka Police Department and MSHP Troop C for their Tip-A-Cop at Culver’s
• MSHP Troop I for their annual Tip-A-Cop at Colton’s Steakhouse in Rolla

KC Metro/ North Area Tennis: Wednesday, July 17

The KC Metro/North Area Tennis event on July 17th was a big success! Held from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Plaza Tennis Center, athletes gathered to compete and showcase their skills in a series of matches.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out and supported the event. Your energy and enthusiasm were truly inspiring. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed!

Southwest Area Softball: Saturday, July 20

Congratulations to all the teams who competed in the Area Softball event this past Saturday! The games were filled with great plays and outstanding sportsmanship on the field. Your hard work and team spirit made the event a fantastic success. Thank you to everyone who participated and supported our athletes.
