SOMO Sum ups Jan. 18th – Jan. 24th
North Area – Coming up: We’re only 2 weeks away from starting our first Walking Club at East Hills Mall on February 3rd! Come get some good exercise while engaging with friends!
It’s Plunge Time! If you haven’t registered yet, it’s easy! Go to www.somo.org/plunge. Choose one of our three plunges: Chillicothe, Maryville, or Kirksville and register today! All proceeds benefit our athletes here locally.
Freezin’ for a Reason is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 31st. We will be doing our annual Boot Block. If you would like to help us raise funds for the 2026 Polar Plunge, please volunteer to work the Boot Block! Kansas City Metro Area – For the first time ever, KC Area Basketball took over Platte County School District – and WOW! The support from the administration and student body was incredible! Congrats to all the Athletes and Teams who competed on Saturday! We were also proud to offer Healthy Athlete Hearing Screenings, helping to ensure our athletes stay healthy both on and off the court.

Our Culver’s fundraiser with the SOMO KC Metro Clubs team was full of smiles, laughs, and plenty of ice cream! 😄🍦
Between the high-fives and sweet treats, it was wonderful to see our community come together to support our athletes and clubs. A huge thank you to everyone who came out, shared the love, and made the evening so special.

If painting birdhouses brings spring faster, our SOMO Craft Club is doing its part! 🐦🎨
Athletes enjoyed a creative afternoon full of color, conversation, and dreams of warmer days ahead. It was a wonderful space for connection, creativity, and a little mid-winter cheer.
