North Area – We had Walking Club on Tuesday, February 17th, with about eight walkers joining us. It was a great opportunity to connect with one another while staying active. The group kept a steady pace, and it was wonderful to see both familiar faces and continued commitment to our wellness goals.

On Thursday, February 19, we met for B-Fit. Participants worked hard and stayed motivated throughout the session. It’s always encouraging to see everyone supporting one another while building strength and endurance.

Saturday was the Maryville Plunge, which was held at a new location this year at Mozingo Lake. Although it was a windy day, there was a strong turnout, especially considering it was the first time the event was hosted there. The new setting provided a fresh experience for participants and spectators alike, and despite the weather, spirits were high and the event was a success.

Central Area – Last week, we hosted a UCS Basketball Tournament at the TLC. Teams from Capital City, Lewis and Clark, Tipton and Camdenton all came out to compete in Basketball. Athletes competed in Individual Skills, Team Skills, and 3 on 3 basketball. It was a fun day of friendly competition!

KC Metro Area – Hello SOMO family!

🚶 February 16 — Walking Club Kicks Off the Week

We started the week with movement and community at Walking Club. It was a great time to take some steps in, enjoy conversation, and begin the week on a healthy note!

Southwest Area – The Southwest Area hosted a Unified Basketball Tournament on Friday, February 20th. The event brought together student-athletes from across the area to compete in a fun, inclusive environment that emphasized teamwork, sportsmanship, and school spirit. It was a great day filled with competitive games, positive energy, and strong community support.

We are looking forward to continuing that excitement with another Local Basketball Tournament coming up this Saturday. This event will once again bring teams together for a day of competition, connection, and celebration of our athletes. We appreciate the continued support from schools, families, and volunteers who help make these events successful.
