Here’s a look back at all of the amazing Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) events from December 3-9, 2024!

St. Louis Metro Area TopGolf Competition: Thursday, December 5
The St. Louis Metro Area hosted its second annual TopGolf competition at the TopGolf-Chesterfield location. Volunteers from Lindenwood University and the Young Men’s Service League (YMSL) facilitated divisional competitions across two TopGolf games. Sgt. Jason Flanery from the Webster Groves Police Department joined the event to distribute medals, celebrating the incredible achievements of our athletes.

Southwest Area Bowling – Joplin: Thursday, December 5
Athletes from Webb City Junior High, Webb City High School, Liberal Schools, East Newton Schools, Wheaton Schools, Seneca Schools and Cassville Schools came together at Fourth Street Bowl in Joplin for the Southwest Area Bowling event. The morning was filled with strikes, spares, and smiles as these talented athletes competed.

Bonne Terre Area Bowling Tournament: Saturday, December 7
The Bonne Terre Area Bowling Tournament lit up the lanes at Family Fun Center Bowling Lanes in Bonne Terre on Saturday, December 7. Great job to all the athletes who participated!

Central Area Bowling Tournament – Columbia: Saturday, December 7
The Central Area Bowling Tournament took place in Columbia on Saturday, December 7. Athletes and teams competed throughout the day in this fun-filled event. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible!

Southwest Area Bowling – Springfield: Saturday, December 7
Enterprise Park Lanes in Springfield was the site of the Southwest Area Bowling event on Saturday, December 7. Participants from Howell County, West Plains, Branson Schools, Lebanon Courage, Nevada Adults, and Nixa Schools joined in, making it a memorable morning of bowling and sportsmanship.
