SOMO vs. SOKS “Border Battle”: May 3
Seventy-five athletes. Two states. One epic showdown. The 3rd Annual SOMO vs. SOKS Border Battle Powerlifting Meet on May 3 was nothing short of extraordinary. Powerlifters from both Missouri and Kansas went head-to-head in a thrilling display of strength, determination, and sportsmanship.

The atmosphere was electric as athletes pushed themselves to new limits, cheered on by a passionate crowd. This year’s event was hosted by Strong Barbell Club, whose support and facility helped elevate the experience for everyone involved. A special thank-you goes out to William Jewell College Athletics for volunteering their time and energy, as well as the Kansas City Glory team for coming out to show their support. We also appreciate FOX4 News Kansas City for capturing the highlights and helping share the story of this incredible event with the wider community.
