Jefferson County Local Track Meet: Tuesday, April 22

The Jefferson County Local Track Meet took place on Tuesday, April 22 at DeSoto Senior High School. Great job to all the athletes who competed and showed off their hard work and dedication!

KC Squad: Tuesday, April 22

The KC Squad had another great session on Tuesday, April 22. Shoutout to everyone who came out and participated!

KC Unified Bocce Intramural with UMKC: Tuesday, April 22

The final night of the 5-Week Unified Bocce Intramural League with UMKC was held on Tuesday, April 22 at the Swinney Recreation Center. It was a great season of teamwork, competition and fun. Congratulations to everyone who participated!

Train for Life Programs

Our Train for Life programs continued to empower athletes across Missouri this week. Thank you to everyone involved for helping make a difference!

Clever Southwest Area Track Meet: Wednesday, April 23

The Clever Southwest Area Track Meet was held on Wednesday, April 23 at Clever High School. Our athletes competed with incredible spirit and sportsmanship throughout the day. Way to go, everyone!

Wright City Local Track Meet: Friday, April 25

The Wright City Local Track Meet took place on Friday, April 25 at Wright City High School. Congratulations to all the athletes who competed and gave it their all!

Community Care Celebration 2025: Friday, April 25

We hosted the Community Care Celebration 2025 on Friday, April 25 at the SOMO Training for Life Campus in Jefferson City. This inclusive event featured health screenings, educational support, employment resources, recreational activities, and more. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day of care, connection, and education so special!

St. Joseph Ladies Night Out Piccadilly: Friday, April 25

On Friday, April 25, we held the annual St. Joseph Ladies Night Out Piccadilly. Guests enjoyed an evening filled with food, drinks, community spirit, and a lively quarter auction. Thank you to everyone who attended and supported Special Olympics Missouri athletes!

KC Area Spring Games: Saturday, April 26

The KC Area Spring Games were held on Saturday, April 26 at Lee’s Summit North High School. Athletes showcased their talents in a variety of events and made memories to last a lifetime. A huge thank you to everyone who made the day possible, especially Coach Nikki, Coach Leann, and Coach Brendan for kicking things off with our very first “Fast Food Frenzie”! Even with the chilly weather, our athletes didn’t let the cold slow them down — they gave it their all and made it an incredible day.

North Area Spring Games (Kirksville): Saturday, April 26

The North Area Spring Games in Kirksville took place on Saturday, April 26 at Kirksville High School. It was an exciting afternoon filled with great competition and inspiring performances. Way to go, athletes!

St. Louis Metro Area Soccer Tournament: Sunday, April 27

The St. Louis Metro Area Soccer Tournament kicked off on Sunday, April 27 at Chaminade College Prep School. Teams brought their best effort and sportsmanship to the field. Congratulations to everyone who participated!

Southwest Area Volleyball: Sunday, April 27

The Southwest Area Volleyball event was held on Sunday, April 27 at The Fieldhouse Sportscenter. Our volleyball athletes showed great teamwork and skill throughout the tournament. Fantastic job, everyone!

Sporting KC Unified Soccer Team Tryouts: Sunday, April 27

We hosted tryouts for the Sporting KC Unified Soccer Team on Sunday, April 27. Athletes and Unified partners, ages 16-25, gave it their all, hoping to earn a spot on this year’s team. Thank you to everyone who tried out and showed such amazing effort!
