STL Metro SSD Track and Field Meet- Tuesday, April 11
This track and field meet was hosted by Special School District at Parkway North High School! Great job to all the athletes that came out and competed!
Track Meet at Carthage High School- Tuesday, April 11
Last Tuesday, Carthage High School hosted a Local Track & Field Meet. Opening Ceremonies started at 9:30 a.m. and the meet ended around 1:45 p.m. Amazing job to all the athletes that participated!

KC Metro Soccer Clinic- Tuesday, April 11
This free soccer clinic was hosted by Sporting Brookside. Amazing job to all the athletes that came out to practice their skills!
Young Athlete Program- Wednesday, April 12
Special Olympics Young Athletes is an early childhood play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities, ages two to seven. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking and throwing. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and community members the chance to share the joy of sports with all children.

Northeast Nodaway Local Track Meet- Wednesday, April 12
This is Unified Champion Schools Event was hosted by Northeast Nodaway Schools! Amazing job to all the athletes that participated!
Hannibal Local Track Meet- Wednesday, April 12
Thank you to Hannibal High School for hosting this local track meet! Fantastic job to all the athletes that competed!
Ste. Genevieve Unified Track and Field Classic- Wednesday, April 12
The 2023 Ste. Genevieve Unified Track and Field Classic was a huge success! This Unified Champion Schools event took place at Ste. Genevieve High School. Nice job to all the athletes that competed!
KC Metro Pickleball Clinic- Wednesday, April 12
SOMO is hosting a FREE 6-Week Pickleball Clinic in collaboration with KC Parks & Rec! The clinic emphasizes foundational skills and takes place Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m., March 22 to April 26.
STL Metro SSD Softball Tournament- Friday, April 14
Last Friday’s softball tournament was hosted by Special School District Lindbergh High School! Great job to all the athletes that played!
Unified Track Meet- Friday, April 14
SOMO hosted a Unified Track and Field Meet for seven Mid-Missouri schools last Friday at the Training for Life Campus in Jefferson City. Mexico, California, Camdenton, Eldon, Jefferson City, Capital City and Russellville all came out to compete in this amazing event full of inclusion. To read more about this event, click here!
KC Metro Young Athletes Program- Friday, April 14
Last Friday’s session was the last of this FREE 3-week program! Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills like running, kicking, and throwing for children with and without intellectual disabilities between the ages of 2-7. The Young Athletes Program offers families, teachers, caregivers, and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children. Cape Spring Games- Saturday, April 15
Notre Dame Regional High School hosted the Southeast Area Spring Games! Fantastic job to all the athletes that competed in this Track and Field Event last weekend!
University of Missouri Unified Kickball- Saturday, April 15
University of Missouri athletes joined our SOMO athletes for a day of kickball and fun last Saturday. Athletes competed in two games of kickball as well as other activities such as cornhole and volleyball! After a lunch of Jersey Mikes, athletes went over to watch the Mizzou Softball game.
