SOMO Sum ups Apr. 21st – Apr. 27th
Southwest Area – Wednesday 4/22 – Our Mindful Midweek crew partnered up with Alpha Sigma Alpha from MSU for a unified Kickball Game! Everyone had a blast and we’re already planning our next unified event with them.


Saturday 4/25 – The Southwest Area Swim Meet was a huge success! From start to finish, the day was filled with energy, determination, and incredible sportsmanship. Our athletes gave it all in the pool, showing just how much hard work and dedication they’ve put in this season. Congrats to all our swimmers who competed this weekend.


Central Area – On Wednesday April 22, we had our Track and Field competition in Holden! It was a cloudy and cool day, but we had a great time! We recognized their Young Athlete program graduates during the track meet, which was fun! Volunteers from the Middle School and High School Student Council brought great energy!

On Friday April 24, we had our Track and Field Competition in Windsor. This was a great group of athletes and coaches. This was their second-year hosting, and it was a great turnout!

From Saturday April 25 at 12 pm to Sunday April 26 at 12 pm, our Let’s Get Physical fundraiser hosted by MSHP Troop I took place at Anytime Fitness in Rolla! These participants complete 24 hours of cardio. They have the option to go solo, or compete in a team of 2,3, or 4. They raised over $3,000 for SOMO!

On Sunday April 26, we hosted Central Area Swimming in Columbia! This event was full of smiles, hard work and great competition!

St. Louis Metro Area – Sunday was a beautiful day for Area Soccer in St. Louis, and we were excited to return to the campus of Chaminade College Prep! For the first time, two teams traveled from Kansas City to compete and our Chaminade volunteers could not have been more welcoming!


De Soto High School hosted a county-wide track meet on April 21st and with over 600 athletes registered, welcomed a record number of competitors and volunteers this year! Thank you to De Soto STUCO and Pony Bird for all the planning assistance, it was a great day!


Southeast Area – On Saturday, April 25 the Southeast Area and local Law Enforcement Hosted the 2026 Area Spring Games at Notre Dame Regional High School. Over 300 athletes competed from 14 counties. This event was sponsored by Drury Southwest, Coad Toyota, Sam’s Club, Noon Optimist Club, River Radio, St. Francois County Board, and the Kiwanis Club.

What an incredible day at the SOMO KC Area Spring Games!

North Area – Such a great night Tuesday night. Thank you to Missouri Western Athletics for hosting our first Missouri Western Spring Sports clinic. Thank you to all the volunteers and athletes who attended the event.
