Polar Plunge
Registration for the 2025 Polar Plunge is officially open! Join us for the COOLEST event of the year and take the plunge into icy cold water alongside participants from all across Missouri. Whether you go solo or organize a team with friends, family, or co-workers, get creative with costumes and help support a great cause. Every dollar raised benefits Special Olympics programming, directly supporting over 12,000 athletes in Missouri. If you can’t take the plunge, you can still contribute by donating, volunteering or showing your support. Don’t miss out on this exciting and impactful event!
Award Ceremony Recap
On Saturday, November 23, 2024, the SOMO community gathered at the Training for Life Campus in Jefferson City to celebrate the 2024 Hall of Fame Class and honor the remarkable contributions of athletes, coaches, volunteers, and families at the Annual Awards Banquet. This inspiring event highlighted the dedication and achievements of individuals who have made a lasting impact on the SOMO mission of promoting inclusion, excellence, and empowerment through sports. Columbia Polar Plunge

Bonne Terre Area Bowling Tournament

Cape Independent Swim Team Reboot
After several years, the Cape Independent swim team is making a splash again! Athletes from other agencies are welcome to join this revitalized team for an exciting season ahead.

Francis Howell Local Basketball Tournament
The Francis Howell Local Basketball Tournament will take place on December 14 from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Francis Howell North High School. Join us for an exciting day of basketball as athletes showcase their skills and compete in this local event. Come out to support the players and enjoy a great community atmosphere.
TopGolf Competition
Mark your calendars for December 4 and join us for a fun and competitive day at TopGolf! This event is perfect for golf enthusiasts of all skill levels. Swing by to enjoy the action and camaraderie.
St. Louis Metro Area Basketball Tournament
The St. Louis Metro Area Basketball Tournament is set for January 18, 2025, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Coaches are reminded to submit their rosters by January 2 to diehl@somo.org. Volunteers are encouraged to sign up for available shifts at SOMO Volunteer Hub. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to support local athletes and be part of a dynamic event.
