The inaugural Show Me MO Fashion Show, hosted by Special Olympics Missouri, was an evening filled with style, community spirit, and heartwarming moments. Partnering with the vibrant Kansas City community, this groundbreaking event showcased 23 incredible Special Olympics Missouri athletes as models, donning outfits provided by local KC businesses.

The event wasn’t just about fashion—it was a celebration of inclusion and community impact. Attendees enjoyed a full evening of activities, including dinner, dessert, shopping at Boutique Row, games, and a silent auction, all culminating in a dazzling fashion show. The athletes radiated joy and confidence as they took the stage, captivating the audience with their energy and enthusiasm.

A special thanks goes to the 10 local boutiques and three featured vendors who brought their creativity and flair to the event. Additionally, the behind-the-scenes magic wouldn’t have been possible without the partnership of the UCM Fashion and Apparel Merchandising Department, whose support was key to this event’s success.

Not only was this event a celebration of fashion and community, but it also served a greater purpose—raising funds to support sports, leadership, and health programs for KC Metro athletes. The overwhelming positive feedback has us eagerly anticipating how this event will grow in the years to come.
