RELEASE: Special Olympics Missouri to host Kansas City Block Party on July 22
KANSAS CITY – Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) is thrilled to host its first-ever Kansas City Block Party on July 22 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The inaugural event will be held in the SOMO parking lot across from Kauffman Stadium and Arrowhead Stadium (9150 E. 41st Terrace, KCMO 64133).
“SOMO’s KC Block Party is a unique opportunity for SOMO athletes and the KC community to come together and celebrate the ‘Best of KC’ with local entertainers, food vendors, vendors and sponsors,” Kansas City Development Director Christina McDonough Hunt said. “This event is SOMO’s way of giving back and saying thank you to the community who has given us so much.”
SOMO invites everyone from all walks of life to come together and enjoy this free event. This includes community members and leaders, business owners, public safety professionals, Kansas City celebrities, elected officials, and SOMO athletes and coaches. It is sure to be a day full of fun!
SOMO is actively looking for sponsors, food vendors, vendors and entertainers. All sponsorships include recognition on the SOMO Kansas City Block Party event webpage, social media and verbal recognition from the stage throughout the day. You can find more information on sponsorship levels here.
