Jefferson City, Mo – Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) is thrilled to announce the incredible success of the Statewide Tip-A-Cop event held at Texas Roadhouse locations across the state on August 20, 2024. Thanks to the dedication of our law enforcement partners and the generosity of our communities, this event raised over $20,000 to support athletes with intellectual disabilities.

The Tip-A-Cop event, a longstanding tradition, brought together law enforcement officers and Texas Roadhouse staff to serve meals and interact with diners, all while collecting donations for SOMO. Officers from various agencies volunteered their time to work alongside Texas Roadhouse employees, engaging with customers and raising awareness for the mission of Special Olympics Missouri.

“We are deeply grateful to our law enforcement partners who selflessly give their time to support our athletes,” said Crystal Schuster, Senior Director of Community Development at Special Olympics Missouri. “The outpouring of support from the community and the commitment of Texas Roadhouse have made this event a tremendous success. The funds raised will go a long way in providing opportunities for our athletes to train, compete, and achieve their personal best.”

Special Olympics Missouri extends a heartfelt thank you to every diner, volunteer, and Texas Roadhouse location that contributed to this event’s success. Your generosity ensures that SOMO can continue offering life-changing experiences to athletes across the state.
