Healthy Athletes

The Healthy Athletes program is an initiative developed by Special Olympics Incorporated with a mission of improving the overall health of our athletes through various health screenings.

Recipes 

When you eat healthy, you will not only feel better but you will perform better during your sport practices, competitions, and in everyday activities. Eating Healthy does not have to be boring! Try these healthy recipes and post it to our Facebook group to show your fellow athletes just how tasty healthy is!

Fitness

Exercising daily has so many benefits! To name just a few it makes us feel better, perform better in our sports, AND can even help prevent us from getting sick or injured! Make fitness fun by trying this at home workout with family and friends. Post on our Facebook group a selfie of you working out and encourage your fellow athletes to get fit too!

Everyone’s days can get very busy and sometimes we cannot control what happens in our days. By practicing mindfulness every day we can use it as a way to cope when we are feeling stressed or frustrated. Mindfulness will help melt the stress and frustration away by helping clear our minds and our bodies relax.

Train & Compete

Training and competition opportunities are available for every athlete, regardless of gender, age or ability. No matter what their ability level may be, athletes can benefit from Special Olympics.
