On Sunday, Nov. 1st, the Clayton Police Department is hosting the 15th annual Special Olympics Missouri 5K alongside the St. Louis Track Club’s 36th annual Half Marathon. The 5K takes place in beautiful downtown Clayton, MO, and the half marathon starts in downtown Clayton and travels through University City, past historic Washington University into the City of St. Louis’s magnificent 1200+ acre Forest Park.The Half Marathon begins at 7:30 a.m. and the 5K begins at 7:45 a.m., with the Youth Run beginning at 8:15 a.m. All St. Louis Track Club members and Law Enforcement receive registration discounts through October 31st. There will be a total of $3,600 in prize money to be awarded to top runners, as well as age group awards for all runs. A percentage of money raised from both runs will be generously donated to Special Olympics Missouri.Sponsors are needed for both the Marathon and the 5K.
