We are excited to share a unique opportunity coming to town. The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) is a national partner of Special Olympics and is hosting their annual convention next month in Kansas City. At each national convention, the Association of Student Athletes (ASA) – the NAIA’s student leadership team that represents conferences all across the country – hosts a Unified experience. This year the ASA would like to invite local Special Olympics athletes to a Unified field day. The goal of national events like these are to create connections between NAIA student-athletes and local Special Olympics athletes that lead to NAIA student-athletes building connections with their local SO programs.

• What activities? Yard games – cornhole, ladder ball, and many more
• When? Friday, April 5 from 5-6pm
• Where? Kirk Family YMCA outdoor soccer fields; 222 W 11th St, Kansas City, MO 64105 (Google Maps link here)
• Parking info will come at a later date.
• Register here! Registration will close at about 20 athletes. Register soon to secure a spot! Please sign up no later than Friday, March 29.
