Lafayette County C-1 Middle and High School Student Councils would like to invite you to participate in our first 3-on-3 Unified Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, February 14th, 2023. Registration is open now until Wednesday, February 1st. Please see the details below. Cupid Classic 3-on-3 Tournament  Information

• There will be two divisions for this tournament.

  • Division I : 6th-8th grade

  • Division II: 9th-12th grade

• Teams are made up of both Special Olympic athletes and unified partners.

  • Unified Partners-  (individuals without intellectual disabilities) train and compete as teammates alongside Special Olympic athletes on a Unified Sports Team (either on a school or community team).

• Teams should have a MAX of 6 individuals on a team.

  • During the game there must be TWO Special Olympic Athletes on the Court at all times and ONE Unified Partner.

• This will be a round robin tournament with each team playing THREE half court games.

  • Games will be played for 20 minutes or 20 points whichever comes first.

  •  All field goals are worth 2 points, there will be no three-point baskets.

Schedule- A detailed schedule will be released after registration closes.

• 9:00-9:25  Arrival

• 9:30 Opening Ceremony

• 10:00-12:30 Games

  • Pizza, water, and snacks will be provided for all teams, coaches, and sponsors.

  • When teams are not playing they may participate in other activities like corn hole, jenga, crafts, etc.

• 1:00 Medals and Dance

• 1:30 Load buses

Registration Information- Registration closes February 1st!

• Please use the link below to register. You may register 6 teams per form. If you need to register more than 6 teams please fill out an additional form.

• Once registration has closed a spreadsheet will be sent to teams to add athletes names, dietary requirements, etc.
