Thank You, Thank You, Thank You

I would like to thank all the volunteers from the GMT, to the City of St. Joseph, to the heathly athletes, to referees, scorekeepers, award preseenters, meal preps, and servers, and everyone from behind the scenes that work tiredlessly to make our 2019 State Indoor Games a huge sucess for all our athletes.  We could not have done any of this without the support of everyone that gave of their time and talent throughout the weekend.   It was all greatly appreicated more than you know.

Thank you to all our sponsors the help offset the cost of the games.  I heard it from a source that it "was nice to come to a city that wanted us here and worked with us to make everything work It is fun coming and working with the great people of St Joseph."

We can not say thank you enough and hope to see you all  back to help/sponsor/volunteer in 2020!

James Ross Heading to USA Games!

The ladies of Coon Creek Baptist Church along with ladies from 10th Street Baptist Church spent their day cooking spaghetti sauce, cakes, pies, cookies, fudge and an array of other treats to make the fundraiser for James Ross a total success! A steady stream of hungry supporters showed up at 10th Street Baptist Church on Thursday night to enjoy dinner, desserts, a white elephant sale and a lot of fun with the DAWGS, Disabled Athletes with Grundy Support, acting as waiters to the crowd. The fundraiser was for James Ross who spent the evening talking about his upcoming trip to Seattle, WA in June of 2018 where he will compete on the National Stage for Special Olympics in the sport of Bocce as a representative of the DAWGS and the North Area of Special Olympics Missouri. The fundraiser was the idea of Diana Crawford who pulled in her resources to put on a delicious meal and fun sale. Jim and Maggie Bush showed up with the donations that were made on Wednesday, Dec. 27th at the free showing of Star at the Trenton Cinema for James Ross along with a special check from them. Thanks to everyone who attended and helped raise over $1600 for James Ross. Pictured above are Melody Prawitz, the North Area Director for Special Olympics Missouri, James Ross and Maggie and Jim Bush. We would like to thank the Trenton Republican Times along with KTTN Radio for their publicity to help make this event a success! A big thank you goes out to Coon Creek Baptist Church and 10th St. Baptist Church for all your hard work and a great location! If you would like to help James with a fundraiser, please contact Judy Rash at 816-244-6380 or 660-673-6015.
