9th Annual Denim & Diamonds Ladies Night Out raises $11,309 for SOMO athletes
JEFFERSON CITY- Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO) hosted another successful Denim & Diamonds Ladies Night Out event on Thursday, Oct. 19 at the Training for Life Campus! Around 150 participants came out to raise a total of $11,309 for our SOMO athletes! Thank you so much to everyone who helped make this event possible!
Proceeds benefit SOMO’s year-round program of sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. SOMO exists to provide year-round sports and training opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities and our athletes need you to get involved.
This evening was complete with dinner, games, and a lively, fun-filled, interactive auction which gave everyone an opportunity to walk away a winner.

That is what helps make the night so much fun. I always love watching the community come together, in a unique way, to support our athletes!”

The night began with some photo booth fun and socializing as around 150 people made their way into the Training for Life Campus!

Each live auction item was given a bid value ranging from $0.25 to $5. If participants wished to bid and they did not have an “all-in” paddle, they simply tossed the correct amount in the mason jar and held up their bid number to show that they were “in.” If their number was drawn, then they won!
Thank you so much to everyone who came out to support our athletes with this fun event! If you want to get involved with this fundraiser, St. Joseph also hosts a Ladies’ Night Out. Our 2024 Ladies’ Night Out Piccadilly will be held on Friday, April 26. Stay tuned for more details!
