1/20/2012M. Anytime someone on our team raises their personal goal, it in turn increases the teams goal. I don't know why it's at such a specific number. The times I have increased my goal I've only doubled my last number or raised it by $100. Why raise your goal u might ask? If a possible donor goes to your page and sees that you have hit your goal, they might not donate. It happened to me with one person. Luckily they emailed me and asked. That's why I keep increasing my goal, and it has helped.Jason Chicora

About the Polar Plunge

Hundreds of polar bears will break the ice at the 2012 Polar Plunge Feb. 4. This event is an opportunity to show your bravery as you support local Special Olympics athletes by running into the sparkling, frigid waters of Lake Boutin. Proceeds support year-round sports training and athletic competition for more than 15,000 children and adults who participate in Special Olympics Missouri.
