Fan Club
What is a Fan?
A Special Olympics Fan can be a family member, caretaker or friend of a Special Olympics athlete. Our goal is to form at least one Fan Club in each Area of the state, and for each Fan Club to act as a booster club of sorts. Contact your Area Director to find out if a club has been formed near you.
Each Fan Club will:
- Communicate with Fans regarding Special Olympics functions
- Recruit athletes and their Fans
- Provide opportunities for Fans to become more involved on all levels of SOMO
- Raise necessary funds for athletes through souvenir sales and fundraisers
