Special Olympics Missouri's programs and services currently benefit more than 15,000 athletes with mental disabilities. With your support, the organization can touch thousands more across the state of Missouri. An estimated 101,000 Missourians could be reached by SOMO if additional resources were available.

Special Olympics athletes train and compete in its local activities free of charge, so it becomes a challenge to provide everyone with a chance to benefit from Special Olympics. There are a number of ways you can help make this happen. You can support a specific event through pledges or donations. You can also support SOMO's good work through gifts of cash, stock, memorial donations, matching gifts and planned giving.

Funding comes from individuals, organizations, corporate sponsorships, special events and grants. Special Olympics Missouri is a non-profit 501 (C) (3) that is a tax-exempt organization that is not funded by government agencies or the Kennedy Foundation. All the money raised in Missouri, stays in Missouri to support our program in the areas of competition, sports and training, development, outreach, and family and public education.
