ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT/RECEPTIONIST - HEADQUARTERS
The Administrative Assistant/Receptionist is a full-time non-exempt position responsible for providing administrative and receptionist support for Special Olympics Missouri (SOMO).
Duties:
- Provide receptionist services. Assist callers and visitors, take message or utilize voice mail.
- Management of statewide athlete database to include accurate data entry of athlete physicals and scanning of documentation.
- Provide administrative support for Headquarters and Area Offices as determined by Supervisor.
- Prepare and deposit revenue at bank and post deposits from Raisers Edge to Financial Edge.
- Manage all Class A volunteers in database and coordinate submission of information to national vendor for background screening.
- Maintain knowledge of Raisers Edge to backup Data Analyst in management of statewide database to include donors, athletes, volunteers, coaches, families, and other SOMO stakeholders.
- Backup administrative support for President/CEO during Administrative Services Director’s absence.
- Filing/copying/mailing as required.
- Secure necessary office supplies and work with vendors to ensure most competitive costs.
- Provide leadership, assistance, guidance and support to staff and volunteers sufficient to inspire and motivate those individuals to achieve success and strive for excellence in their SOMO activities.
- Ensure assigned annual plan objectives are attained.
- Ensure on-going demonstration of SOMO Guiding Values and related behaviors.
- Ensure all activities conform to SOI General Rules/SOMO Policies.
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:
- High School Degree or GED.
- Ability to pay close attention to detail, well-organized and able to provide a variety of assignments and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Computer literate in the Windows environment, Microsoft Office and database management.
- Ability to be self-directed and a team player.
